CHASE (and Cabela)

Chase can be recognized by his camo with his “new” puppy – Cabela (yes, she’s named after the hunting store – Cabelas) in tow. Still swimming almost day and night for FCST (First Colony Swim Team) and Austin High School (Fort Bend), Chase finds time to fish and hunt with Gary and various others.

Chase has been driving now for a bit over a year, and is thoroughly enjoying his “freedom,” when he has it – ha! Swimming and school doesn’t allow for a ton of going out, unless it’s going to the barn (for FFA), to the pool or nat.  He’s working (some…) on training this adorable little black beast we’ve taken on since Caroline (the yellow lab) left us for a better place Thanksgiving of 2010. We of course wish he’d train her more, but she’s a great family dog just as she is now.

Let’s see….this is the year of Physics and the catapult. Chase’s project went well, and he got a great grade on it. Now the boys are enjoying using it to catapult (from the truck bed) all sorts of things like oranges, tennis balls, and marshmallows into fire-pits.

This past summer, Chase & Alex figured out that providing swim lessons in the back yard was lucrative money-wise, and Chase was pretty good at it, much to his surprise. Not sure why he questioned it  -  he’s good with kids. Well, except for Grant – and that’s another story……MAYBE Chase will take up “updating his page” here soon. Doubt it as swimming, hunting and girls are MUCH more important.
